YOU CANNOT BE A WINNER WITHOUT THE BATTLES OF LIFE PART 2
Oh! Lord as we look at your word today, give us the grace to stop where the Bible stops, give us the grace not to propagate our own philosophy or concept, but to reveal only the teachings of your word in the Bible to your children. Holy Spirit take over now and speak to the heart of your children that the name of our Lord Jesus Christ will be glorified. Amen
It is sad that most Christians do not understand the nature of the battles of life and even the major enemies that are contending against us.
J.F Kennedy once said that man will live and die, nations will rise and fall but the idea men propagate outlive them. The idea and philosophies propagated by some so called Christian leaders about human enemies have so much eaten deep into the Church that most Christians in our days don’t even know the real enemies contending against their souls. Hoses 4:6 says “my people are destroyed for lack of knowledge”.
There are four deadly enemies that Bible reveals to us. These four deadly enemies are tireless and never go on break over our lives. These enemies monitor us every second and whenever we are careless or relax they are ready to strike. Let’s look at these enemies that false teachings in the Church have relegated to the background:
1. Sin – Romans 6:12 “therefore do not let sin reign in your mortal body, so that you obey its evil…”
When you were in the world, you were married to sin. You lived together as husband and wife but the day you gave your life to Jesus, you forsook sin and surrender your life to Jesus. As a believer you are the one that forsook sin, but sin never says bye-bye to you. Sin is a deadly and tireless enemies that hunt for your soul every second. Apostle Paul warned us in Romans 6:12 about this deadly enemy. He said “Do not let sin reign in your mortal body that you obey its lust”.
2. Flesh – 1Corinthians 9:27 “But I keep my body and bring it under subjection lest by any means when I have preached to others, I myself should be a castaway”.
I want you to consider the statement – “I keep my body under subjection”. Listen to this! Flesh has no respect for any man; even if you are a mighty man of God. Samson was a powerful man of God but he could not keep his body under subjection and became a mere toy that his enemies could bring out of the prison and ask to act a play in the house of their gods. The only thing that can tame your body is your willingness to be the doer of the word of God and watchfulness.

GREAT WORDS ON MISSIONS FROM MEN OF GOD
I am wired by nature to love the same toys the world love. I start to fit in, I start to love what others love .I start to call the earth “home” Before you know it ,I am calling luxuries “needs” and using my money just the way unbelievers do. I begin to forget the war .I don’t think much about people perishing. Mission and unreached people drop out of my mind. I sink into secular mindset that look first to what man can do, not what God can do. It is a terrible sickness. I thank God for those who have formed me again and again toward a wartime mindset – John Piper
If a commission by an earthly king is considered an honour, how can a commission by a heavenly king be considered a sacrifice – David Livingstone
It was strictly forbidden to preach to other prisoners. It was understood that whoever was caught doing this received a severe beating. A number of us decided to pay the price for the privilege of preaching, so we accepted their (the Communist) terms, it was a deal: we preach and they beat us. We were happy preaching .They were happy beating us, so everyone was happy – Richard Wumbrand (Turture for Christ)
To me there is no more tragic sight than the average missionaries— We have given so much, yet not one thing that counts, we aspire so high and fall so low, we suffer so much but not with Christ. We have done so much and so little for Christ – Amy Carmichael
Some wish to live Within the sound of Church and Chapel bell, I want to run a rescue shop within a yard of hell – C.T Studd
Shagamu Open-Air Crusade
On the 26th of September, 2019, Prophet Toyin Oluwibe moved to Shagamu in Ogun State to minister in the last two days open-air crusade organised by MOWEM (Mountain of Wonders and Evangelical Ministries) in Shagamu, Ogun State. The man of God as usual focused mainly on the word of God in the first day because he believed strongly that what people need is knowledge of the miracle worker. He believed that once they know Jesus personally sicknesses and diseases can never be the major challenge in their lives again.
He ministered extensively on Mathew 13:25 for two (2) days. The topic for the first day was “When a man sleeps”. The audio version of this sermon will be available on our blog by first week of October, 2019. After the message, the man of God led some prayers on spiritual renewal. He announced that the second day would be for healing and miracle and encouraged the people of Shagamu to bring people with various infirmities to the crusade ground.
On the second day, there was high expectation of deliverance from various sicknesses and diseases as people came to the crusade ground with their infirmities. Prophet Toyin Oluwibe ministered on “The secret and crafty ways through which the enemies sow tares”.
Immediately after the message there were revival songs for some minutes after which the power of deliverance moved mightily on the crusade ground. There were many sicknesses and diseases Jesus took away that we may not be able to write here. All healings in Shagamu shall be fully explained in the book titled “Men who saw a great revival” which is a compendium of healings and miracles that Jesus wrought in our crusades in South-West region of Nigeria.
Shagamu crusade unveils to us more than ever before that Jesus the miracle worker is not dead, He is still alive. Glory to His name for ever.
